The late Mac Miller made his major-label debut with his third studio album ‘GO:OD AM’ 10 years ago; and in celebration of 10th anniversary of the project, Miller’s estate has shared three new songs.
The expanded 10th anniversary edition of GO:OD AM includes the Vinny Radio-assisted “Royal Flush,” as well as the new cuts “Cable Box” and “Carpe Diem.” All three songs are taken from the original GO:OD AM recording sessions, which featured 17-tracks and contributions from Miguel, Chief Keef, Lil B, Little Dragon, and Ab-Soul. ‘GO:OD AM’ peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart, with “100 Grandkids” serving as the album’s lead single (reaching No. 100 on the Hot 100) in addition to the Miguel-assisted “Weekend” which peaked at No. 46 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.
Miller’s estate also teamed up with artist Danaé Goset for a series of visualizers to accompany the new songs, as well as one for “Rush Hour,” a deep cut from the original GO:OD AM tracklist. Gosset has been a close collaborator of the Miller estate for years, having worked on the visuals for Balloonerism and the music video for “Star Room (OG Version)” that was released in celebration of the 10th anniversary of his second studio album, Watching Movies with the Sound Off.
